About Me

My name is Alex Robb. With a degree in Psychology and a teaching career behind me, I decided in 2011 to train in Play and Creative Arts Therapy with PTUK and qualified as a certified Play and Creative Arts Therapist in early 2015. I am also qualified to provide Parent-Child Attachment Play, in which I assist parents in building up stronger attachment relationships with their children, and Baby Bonding, in which I assist new and soon-to-be mothers with developing strong attachment-based relationships with their babies.

I have since qualified as a Person-Centred Counsellor, and I am also trained in Counselling Children and Young People. I use an integrative approach to my sessions, incorporating elements from all my training.

I have done extra training in issues around attachment and trauma, including Barnardo’s Certificate in Adoption Support Counselling and Beacon House Training in Developmental Trauma, hence I have a good understanding of the particular difficulties affecting those who have been adopted or through the foster care system.

I am a trained Integral Eye Movement Therapy practitioner.

My Counselling work in Sutton Women’s Centre has given me a deeper understanding of the particular issues impacting women who have suffered domestic abuse and coercive control.

I am a Clinical Supervisor of Creative Arts Therapies. Please contact me for further details if you are looking for a supervisor.
